Great product

This chin-up bar is a very sturdy built bar. The bolts they provide definetly do their job so i suggest using them. Your wall will break before this bar will the way they recommend that you set it up. The only "problem" i have is with the grips which is a standard type grip you'd find on any weightlifting bar. I solved this by just wrapping a towel around the bar whenever i use it or wear gloves but some may like it. I'm a mechanic and my hands get pretty messed up everyday so that's the reason why for me personally it hurts. I weigh around 225 lbs and this bar handles my weight with no problem just as long as you follow the instructions you'll be fine.More detail ...

Good Pull Up Bar

This is an excellent pull up bar over all. I'm over 200+ lbs and it supports me fine. The foam grips can be rotated and move to the desire hand positions. Telescopic bar allows placement in different sizes door frame. Hanging latches have little swivel locks so the bar cannot be accidentally lifted off the wall latches. The bar is not permanently mounted to the wall and can be remove after each use if one wishes. Each latch comes with a three (3) aluminum screws for mounting on the door frame.



The only drawback is the short aluminum screws provided. Though it has supported my weight so far. I have this bar for about 2 months and I use it every other day.More detail ...

This is 2 pieces

This little device is 2 separate handles that are wedged between the back and front of a closed door. They can be spaced as needed for your comfort.



There is no bar connecting the left and right handles. They are not connected in any way.



The door **must** close and should have a lock on it for safety. If the door opens with any weight on it you'll fall.

There are pads on the grips and between your hands and the door - very nice. After a few reps the straps connecting the front and back pieces have scrapped off a little paint at the top of my door. The other side of the door has similar scraping but since I'm using a closet damage doesn't matter. Wrapping all parts that contact the door may help prevent/reduce damage but I haven't tried that.



Wearing knee pads is probably a good idea until you have lots of control so you don't damage either your knees or the door with every rep.



Overall this is a simple device that does what the picture shows for a small cost. It is sized for travel.More detail ...

Good Doorway Bar

I read the reviews about this bar falling down and even though I weigh 220 lbs I bought it anyway.

As long as you install the brackets it will hold up anyone.

The main thing I like about this bar is that the brackets will hold the bar for any direction of pulling.

There are only two downsides to this bar. The brackets stick out into the doorway a good 1 1/2 inches on each side. Also only one side of the bar has the foam grip.More detail ...

Not Great.

My ab straps DID NOT come with the metal carabiners shown in the ad pictures so in order to put the straps on the bar you have to DISCONNECT the whole bar from the brackets each time a big PITA! Evidently the carabiners are a bit expensive so they've deleted them and now show the ab straps in a closeup picture not showing how they attach to the bar. Unfortunately they didn't lower the price though. Also if you are taller than about 5'4" and you mount the PP frame in a standard door frame you'll hang so low using the ab straps that your feet are dragging on the floor even with your knees bent.
